Why are there so many variations to the beta hcg diet rules of 500 calorie diet? As per the protocol, the 500 calorie diet is to be followed. Then why are many brands promoting 800, 1200, and 1400 calorie diet. Will it affect the weight loss or will I still be able to lose 1 lb a day?

    Kindly clarify, thanks.

As you said, the original HCG diet protocol is to restrict calorie intake up to 500 which is combined with HCG drops/pellets/injections.

However, not many can withstand such low calories especially those who are having underlying health conditions such as insulin problems, blood pressure etc. Some people also who are having medication also have difficulty in maintaining such low calories. The variation in the HCG diet gives them the liberty to still implement the HCG diet program without triggering any health issues.

There are many users who have tried the calorie variations along with the HCG and still lose 0.5-1 lb a day.
