Are hcg drops just a placebo? It says that HCG is a hormone which can help lose weight and is derived from the urine of a pregnant woman! how come it is stated as a placebo? is HCG drops fake?

There are many controversies surrounding hCG and the placebo effect is just one of them. In fact, there are studies conducted on homeopathic hcg by National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) in Australia that released a statement saying

“there are no health conditions for which there is reliable evidence that homeopathy is effective.” Source: NHMRC

While some people claim that homeopathic hcg works, its probably because of the low calorie diet and not due to the product in question.

But then so is the question of using real hcg hormone as part of your weight loss program. Of course, there are countless people who have lost weight with hcg such as HCG Chica, I wonder is hcg a big scam or does it actually work?

    Awaiting more response from users.
