Hello, I am new to hcg injections. Can someone give me the exact method of measurement i.e. hcg injection doses. I am confused with the whole CC draw, vial, mix…its just too overwhelming. Please explain in simple terms.
Regardless of how much HCG is in your vial, you need to take that number and divide it by the amount of bacteriostatic water you will add. That’s how many IU per ml you will have.
1. 5000IU HCG in 5ml bac. water = 1000IU PER cc/ml
2. 10,000 HCG in 5ml bac. water = 2000IU per cc/ml
3. 10,000 HCG in 10ml bac. water = 1000IU per cc/ml
Step 2: Determining the dosage
Once you understand the concentration of your HCG (based on step above), use a 1cc slin pin to determine the dosage.
If you have 1000IU per cc and your slin pin is 1cc then 1cc = 1000IU. Slin pin has 100 unit marks on it so 1000IU/cc divided by 100 unit marks on slin pin means each unit mark on slin pin is 10 IU. If you want to take 250 IU, then it’s the 25 mark on the slin pin.
If you have 10,000 iu of hcg in 5ml of bact. water, you will have 2000iu per cc. So 2000iu divided by 100 marks on slin pin (i.e. 1cc), then each mark is 20 iu. So, if you want to take 250IU that would be the 12.5 mark on slin pin.
