Yes, Research shows that even after a single HCG injection, they have noticed rise of 20% in testosterone levels that occurs in normal women. With HCG pumping in the blood from the placenta during pregnancy, the testosterone levels can double that results in acne, oily skin not to mention increase in sex drive in few women. Things can get ugly if the placenta didn’t pump out 100x more estrogen than the normal to counteract these male hormones.

Is increase in testosterone levels for women a matter of concern?

Yes, because apart from oily skin, high libido and acne, there are other side effects of testosterone which you probably won’t be happy about. For instance, it can cause hair loss OR excess hair growth at places you don’t want it. Testosterone can stimulate hair growth on the face, chest, back and abdomen. Simultaneously, it causes hair loss in the scalp especially at the temples and crown. This is called as male pattern baldness. Other effects of testosterone in women is growth of the clitoris which is known as clitoromegaly. A clitoris that is the size of a man’s thumb has been described in a woman that happens due to excess testosterone exposure. Of course, it is seen only in extreme cases.

However, you need not fear such issues. In fact, there are millions of women users who have successfully completed the hcg diet and are still doing hcg rounds w/o any negative reactions.
